Album

Kill 'Em All is the debut studio album by American heavy metal band Metallica, released on July 25, 1983 by the independent record label Megaforce Records. Kill 'Em All is regarded as a groundbreaking album for thrash metal because of its precise musicianship, which fuses new wave of British heavy metal riffs with hardcore punk tempos. The album's musical approach and lyrics were markedly different from rock's mainstream of the early 1980s and inspired a number of bands who followed in similar manner. Kill 'Em All is Metallica's debut album, released on July 25, 1983 on Megaforce Records. Metallica's original line-up featured James Hetfield vocalsrhythm guitar, Dave Mustaine lead guitar, Ron McGovney bass, and Lars Ulrich drums. Because of tensions with Mustaine, McGovney left the band. Castro Valley-born bassist Cliff Burton was recruited as his replacement. Mustaine was fired in April 1983 for his drug and alcohol problems, overly aggressive behavior, and clashes with bandmates. To favorites 0 Download album. Listen album. Thrash Metal. Released in 1983, Kill 'Em All combined the primordial, rudimentary riffage of Black Sabbath with the intricate, melodic overtures of Iron Maiden played at the speed of Motorhead and hardcore punk. This new 'thrash' became the schematic for hundreds thousands of bands that would follow, eschewing commercial heavy metal's penchant for big hair, spandex and pop hooks and replacing it with full-on aggression. With their debut album, Kill Em All, Metallica took thrash metal to another level, laying the groundwork for its arrival on the global stage. When Kill Em All was released, on 25 July 1983, metal hadnt heard anything of its speed and fury before, nor seen a band with Metallicas level of streetwise savvy. The album has endured in the decades since, and the group regularly play its tracks today most notably Seek And Destroy. Routinely held up for being as influential on metal as classic albums by Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, Kill Em All is more than just a snapshot of its time. But really, the rest of the band is just as dexterous, playing with tightly controlled fury even at the most ridiculously fast tempos. There are already several extended, multi-sectioned compositions foreshadowing the band's later progressive epics, though these are driven by adrenaline, not texture
