The New Colony Six were an American rock band of the 1960s, although the group also specialised in lyrically romantic pop songs. The group was formed in 1964 in Chicago, Illinois. Their biggest local hit was 'I Confess', taken from their first album 'Breakthrough' 1966. After the success of 'I Confess', they had more minor hits like 'Love You So Much' 1968, 'I Will Always Think About You' 1968 and 'Things I'd Like To Say' 1969. New Colony Six sometimes abbreviated as NC6 is an American soft rock band whose height of popularity was from the mid-1960s to the early 1970s. From Chicago, the group placed ten singles on the Hot 100 between 1966 and 1971. Original members were Ray Graffia vocals, who was born March 28, 1946, Chick James drums, Pat McBride harmonica, Craig Kemp organ, Wally Kemp bass, and Gerry Van Kollenburg guitar, who was born June 26, 1946. Ronnie Rice vocals, keyboards, guitar replaced Craig. New Colony Six remained together well into the early '70s, but never achieved this kind of chart success again. In 1996, Mercury Japan released a CD entitled Best of New Colony Six, leading their fans to think it was a new greatest-hits collection when, in fact, it was a two-fer CD combining this album and their 1969 album Attacking a Straw Man. It was, at the time, the only compact disc of this material ever made available, though it is out of print. Released 1968. Revelations Tracklist. I Will Always Think About You Lyrics. Biography by Richie Unterberger: Chicago's New Colony Six originally emerged as a tough, British Invasion-styled outfit prominently featuring Farfisa organ and a novel at the time Lesley guitar. Scoring a huge local hit with I Confess, their early recordings - exemplified by their 1966 debut album, Breakthrough - featured first-class original material that gave the sound of Them and the Yardbirds a more commercial, American garage-based, vocal harmony approach. The rest of the '60s saw the band gradually abandoning their roots for middle-of-the-road p
