Renaissance dances belong to the broad group of historical dances. During the Renaissance period, there was a distinction between country dances and court dances. Court dances required the dancers to be trained and were often for display and entertainment, whereas country dances could be attempted by anyone. At Court, the formal entertainment would often be followed by many hours of country dances which all present could join in. Dances described as country dances such as Chiarantana or Chiaranzana. Sunrise Dance of Iberian Mountains for Renaissance Lute feat. Lana Ross. Renaissance Gothic Beer Song feat. David Munrow by MUNROW, EARLY MUSIC CONSORT OF LONDON Audio CD . Only 15 left in stock - order soon. I've listened to the album around three times already, and am delighted that they included the cabinet organ section. I formaly did not own any organ music-and the music was deftly played with alot of flair. This CD includes a large collection of Medieval and Renaissance pieces played on the original instruments, for an authentic and historically accurate sound. I used it for high school music history class, and will also use it for my own enjoyment. Very good recordings, highly recommended
